Event photojournalism is about anticipating and capturing moments without the subjects necessarily being actively aware of the process. It means photographing your wedding as your unique story unfolds, reacting to the real moments of the day instead of arranging staged events. It answers the questions "what" and "why", not just "who" as in traditional event photography.

We’ll still do a formal portrait session, but wouldn't you rather enjoy the celebration than have the day become a long portrait session? Formal posed portraits, necessary for family historical purposes, typically make up less than 10% of the final album. The final decision on how many portraits to include is, of course, yours to make. I work in both color and black and white. How much of each is up to you.
